11/9 Center for Women in Law “Women in Finance” Panel- Have you ever wondered what finance lawyers do? Or feel that business law is too complicated? 1L Happy Hour – TBLS is having its annual Welcome Happy Hour this Thursday, September 28, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Dogwood on West 6th.  Please come out and help us welcome the 1L class!  This event is open to all 1Ls and dues-paying 2Ls and 3Ls.

Real Talk and Tacos- Dues paying members can stop by to pick up their shirts and get free breakfast tacos this Monday, October 2, from 7:30-10:00 am in the Sheffield Room. Grab some breakfast and meet other TBLS members before heading to class!

Term of the Week: Chapter 11– A reorganization bankruptcy, usually involving a corporation or partnership. A Chapter 11 debtor usually proposes a plan of reorganization to keep its business alive and pay creditors over time.  Individuals or people in business can also seek relief in chapter 11.
